Learning Outcomes

This course serves as an introductory course to the computational software MATLAB. Its content aims to familiarize students with the basic functionalities of MATLAB, enabling them to effectively address problems related to the field of Civil Engineering. The course combines theoretical lectures with laboratory exercises, carried out by groups of 2–3 students.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  • Use MATLAB to solve both simple and complex mathematical problems.
  • Translate a flowchart (or pseudocode) into a MATLAB program.
  • Solve a variety of Civil Engineering problems using MATLAB.
