The Department of Civil Engineering has modern and well-equipped facilities to support its educational and research activities. Specifically, it has seven (7) classrooms, four of which are large capacity (over 80 people), two (2) computer centers with access to specialized software, as well as two (2) design studios for teaching technical and construction-related courses. All classrooms are equipped with modern visual aids (projectors, network connection).

The Department operates the following well-equipped and institutionalized Laboratories, which cover basic teaching and research needs in related areas of Civil Engineering.

  • The Laboratory of Structures and Building Materials, which includes the following laboratory areas: (a) Materials Engineering, (b) Earthquake Engineering and Structural Control, (c) Reinforced Concrete, and (d) Building Materials.
  • The Hydraulic Engineering and Environment Laboratory, which includes the following laboratory areas: (a) Topography, and (b) Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Dynamics Machines.

In addition, the Department is supported by two (2) additional laboratory areas.

  • Road Construction
  • Soil Mechanics

The above modern laboratory infrastructure contributes significantly to the quality of the Study Program, giving students the opportunity to acquire laboratory skills and applied knowledge in a modern educational environment.
