Academic Advisors are faculty members of the Department who advise and support students (especially first-year students) thru scheduled meetings, with the aim of facilitating their integration into higher education. They inform, provide information, and advise all students on matters related to their studies and subsequent professional careers, and they offer special support to students facing serious family, personal, or other difficulties that hinder the successful completion of their studies.

The Academic Advisor tries, as much as possible, to provide or suggest solutions to any problems that arise. However, it is in no way obliged to guaranty a solution to every problem in advance.

Every October, the Department Assembly assigns Academic Advisor duties to all faculty members, randomly and equally distributing the number of first-year students among the Department's faculty members. A student's Academic Advisor remains the same until the completion of their studies.
