Learning Outcomes

The purpose of the course is to introduce topics related to the Design of Urban Road Systems, specifically Traffic Signals, Signage, and Parking Spaces.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  • Describe the main types of signalling, road signage, and parking.
  • Propose and designs ways to improve traffic flow through interventions in urban road networks.
  • Apply technical standards for determining parking and signalling parameters.
