- The Thesis – analytical, synthetic, research-oriented – is carried out by students on any subject of the taught courses, in order to complete the deepening in the scientific field they have chosen.
- The topics of the Diplomas are determined under the responsibility of the instructors.
- The topics of the Diplomas concern the broader field of Civil Engineering, both in theoretical and computational/numerical, as well as experimental areas of interest.
Learning Outcomes
With the Diploma Thesis, the student engages with an application and/or research subject, learning to analyse and synthesise elements, exploring a specialised field of Civil Engineering science that they have chosen.
With the successful completion of Thesis I, the student will be able to:
- Collect relevant literature that will be utilised in the initial stage of analysing a topic that has been assigned to him.
- Utilise elements from the literature that may include data from experiments or field measurements, and/or numerical data from similar studies.
- Apply laboratory or field measurement methods, and/or develop or implement related software.
