The department offers a postgraduate studies program entitled “Protection of Structures from Natural Hazards”. The program focuses on the protection of structures (such as buildings, bridges, road works, retaining walls, coastal works, etc.) from damage caused by natural phenomena such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, wave action, meteorological tide, etc. The program is designed to provide civil engineers with the necessary knowledge to analyze and design structures resistant to natural hazards according to the existing regulations but also to non-conventional methods.
