Course Description
  1. Teaching of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) related to the field of Civil Engineering.
  2. Technical terminology of the Civil Engineering discipline in English.
  3. Linguistic processing of technical texts, including translation from English into Greek and vice versa.

Learning Outcomes

The aim of the course is to develop and enhance students’ language skills at an advanced level (B2 – First Certificate), with a focus on effective communication both in the context of international mobility programs such as Erasmus and in professional practice. Particular emphasis is placed on terminology used in the Civil Engineering profession, as well as on oral communication skills.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  • Read and analyze technical texts in English related to Civil Engineering, such as technical reports, documentation, textbooks, and research publications.
  • Use the English language effectively in oral communication and in the preparation of technical texts, employing appropriate professional terminology.
